I would say that they might not be interested in putting it out yet, but then there is Air Force One.... Not that I dislike that movie, but I wouldn't have expected it to be in 4k so soon. Yet, it's coming. So, Cliffhanger might not be that far off.

Kinda, the SC UK bluray has reversed channels in the rears still Sony may do the master worldwide tho like The Fifth Element.
If it's an anniversary I want the unrated version finally.

There was already a 4k master for that tho, there is not one for this.

If Sony release something simultaneously, then sure, i'll go Sony - it's the only sane choice

I am skeptical since this is not Sony, but the unrated version would be interesting.

Amazing news, definitely one of my favourite 90’s movies. I hope Sony announces a NA release. This has the potential to look outstanding.

Q4 is making last holiday season look like a joke.

Yes, they have a recent trend of including deleted scenes on there 4k release's let us hope they do the same for Cliffhanger and we get some uncut death scenes.

Awesome. I need more 90s action films on UHD. Hard Target, Under Siege and so on... But those aren't Sony.

Hard Target UHD, full and uncut.

I'd pay a fortune for that, hell, even for a 1080p Blu-ray.

I mailed Sony anyway.
Fans want a pre cut version. I know I do.

But like Geoff said, it’s not gonna happen. Same goes for Total Recall (1990)

I'd love to see the work-print cut restored.

Not sure if there's anything missing that's in the theatrical cut.

But the two main excisions - the waterfall climb and the big jump - were included as extras on the BD, IIRC.

Frankly, I'd be happy if they only reinstated the violence cuts. Easily R-rated in 2018.

I know the filmmakers were the ones who changed the death of Travers, but it played 100 times better in its original form.

If Sony made only one change that would be my choice.

Not that I think they'll bother doing any of this.

They can sell just as many additional copies with a slipcase.
