Anybody else using a air-fryer? I bought one during the Black Friday sales and have used it a couple of times since. Everything we have made in it comes out tasting surprisingly great. If you are using one what are your favorite things to make in it?

I've been thinking about purchasing a air fryer. My sister owns one and most of the food I tried was pretty good. She air fried whole chicken pieces and they were actually super crispy with a good crunch. The fries were good but not great, but still better than the made in the oven kind.
Frozen chicken nuggets turned out excellent, and frozen spring rolls were also very good and crispy. It helps brushing or spraying the food with oil before air frying them. |

I've been using mine quite frequently and have mostly been real pleased with the results. I've made calzones that came out really good, tempura chicken and shrimp (tasted fine but next time I need to make the mixture thicker. It works really great for reheating egg rolls and I also like to cook frozen burritos in the microwave and then crispy them up with a couple of minutes in the airfryer.

An air fryer is worth it just for how well it does potatoes. Chop 'em up, toss them in some seasonings, then throw them in the air fryer and they're great. They get a little crispy, more than in an oven, but not quite as crispy as if you fried them in oil, but it's worth it for how much easier it is to clean up after and healthier than oil frying.
The pre-packaged fries and tater tots work great in there too. You can tell most already have a slight bit of oil on them, so they get even crispier, but still less oil than if you fried them in a pan. |

We have one. I love the fish and fries, and choco chip oatmeal cookies using it.

Having had my air-fryer for nearly a year now I've got to say I'm really surprised how often we use it and how well it cooks virtually everything we have put in there. Really about the only thing I haven't been able to do has been tempura, I thought I could make the batter thicker but no matter how thick I made it the fan still blows most of the batter off. But really everything else comes out fantastic.

Finally bought my own airfryer. It's addictive because it is kind of fun doing meals in them.
I made a grilled cheese sandwich and it came out fantastic. I also did German style burgers (more like patty shaped meat loaf) and again, just great. I think it will make my oven obsolete heh. Highly recommended. |

I've busted out my Tefal ActiFry 2 in 1 over the past week and I'm addicted to using it again purely for the way it cooks marinated chicken.
I've made quite a few low carb sauces over recent months but, when cooking meat with them in the fan oven, the sauce typically remains fairly thin due to the meat juices leaching out into the sauce. Cooking the meat and sauce in the ActiFry on the lower level with the rotating spatula seriously reduces the sauce so that it creates a thick, sticky coating on the meat as if it's been barbecued. 25 minutes and I've got tasty, tender chicken breast chunks that haven't dried out. A wicked bit of kit! |

I finally gave in and bought one of these. Now I understand what all the fuzz is about. I rarely use my microwave now!
I went with this one. It's probably a bit too big, but for $50 you cannot beat it! It's perfect for also reheating pizza and toasting subs. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bella-p...?skuId=6355794 |
