um....no. I mean clearly Peter Weller won't be doing it, unless they have him do the voice for a stand-in. So any other film will just feel like another reboot.

and personally, I liked the reboot I know many others didn't, but I did.

I was strongly against the reboot. But for some reason, I'm excited for this one.

If they intend to make a satire on the current sociocultural trends with the new Robocop - I'm all for it. It can be a new Robocop with a new actor, it can have a different tone from the original, but it needs to have guts.

I bet this turns out to be like a series or movie on Netflix or somewhere, and not a theatrical film.

Let it go.

Its of its time. The reboot failed.

Create something new please, and stop relying on past classics.

Clueless opinion-makers who didn't get the original will campaign against it, calling it "fascist". Just wait and see.

yeah, but it's the hip new trend to retcon everything and ignore later installments. Superman Returns did it, Halloween is doing it, Aliens was going to do it until Ridley Scott decided to make Prometheus...

I loved RoboCop 2 and Cain. The RoboCain was scary and menacing in a good way. If they really are going old school, then please bring Cable into it. He was the only good thing to come out of anything RoboCop related after RoboCop 2 (besides the RoboCop Vs. The Terminator game, that was pure art).

Hopefully, they make Detroit more like Detroit this time. The Detroit from the first reboot felt like a regular city.

Old Detroit has a cancer. The cancer is crime.

You know I have never seen RC: Prime Directives in it's entirely? Just bits and pieces.

The 2014 reboot was ok. I don't know why, but I don't like the actor who plays him or the character he played in Suicide Squad. Just seems like an ahole.

We will never get the level of violence from the Director's Cut of the first movie, which has been a trade mark of the series. We need 80's/90's style violence level back in today's generation of movies.
