Not a huge fan of Costner, but I actually really liked this. Pre-ordering as soon as it's up!

Great news! The Bodyguard is a pretty good movie, including Whitney Houston's Grammy Award winning soundtrack, and number 1 best seller nationwide.

This is one of my Costner favourites, along with
Dances with Wolves
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Field of Dreams
I will definitely be getting it, both for myself and for my sister.

+1. Let's face it, that's the big appeal here--Whitney *before* crack was wack. We only wanna be Costner to be close to Whitney in her prime.

But then perhaps it was telling that WB announced this one simultaneously with Don Juan DeMarco. Yes, it has Brando, Depp *and* Faye Dunaway; but its real appeal is Selena's only film role, a cameo leading a mariachi band. (Yes, the same Selena whose biopic made J.Lo a star--and who Selena Gomez was named after.

Wow, I can't believe others actually like this movie. I was always embarrassed to tell anyone that I really like it, LOL. Whitney Houston back in the day..... yum!

Why? There's nothing to be embarrass about if you like a particular movie, regardless of it genre.

Love Kevin Costner but wasn't paying him a lot of attention when Whitney was on-screen. Her fall from grace was one of the saddest, and most pointless show-biz stories in decades~ the recording industry, the public, and the culture were robbed of one of the rarest gifts that has come along literally for generations~ who today could touch her? Think of the body of work that might have been produced over the past thirty years, the pleasure she might have provided...

I'm not sure if you're complaining about (a) the guy who questioned the release info or (b) the movie itself.

If it's (a), there IS some valid concern; for one thing, Amazon has its release date as 4/10/2011 (instead of 2012), which causes its inventory status to show "Usually ships within 1 to 3 weeks" instead of pre-order.

If it's (b), perhaps YOU need to take a long hard look at yourself. You wouldn't want me dissing your siggy's demand for They Live on BD simply because I'm not a fan of horror movies, would you?
