Checking codes for EU/Japan releases?

Hi, my first post.

Where I can check some reviews for EU/UK/Japanese BluRay releases?

I found some excellent US reviews but UK are nowhere to be found. Please help.

I would like to check which video codec has been used before deciding which to buy (since I've found that ID4 in UK will be using AVC codec as opposed to US MPEG2 coding).

While not necessarily review sites, these two Japanese blogs post all the specs and the box art for Japan releases. Hope this helps somewhat.
