Default RGB vs. Y Pb/Pr

Which one do you prefer, and what are the differences between the two?

RGB gies me deeper better colors. But you have to kind of re-calibrate after to get the detail back in

Yea, its been driving me crazy. I can't go back to Y now because I like how deep the colors are and how dark the blacks are.

4. 5 tops. The big difference would be 120 Hz.

Get 120 Hz. Its a huge difference - gives it a real feel. But, thats personal opinion.

There's a difference for me. If I use RGB I lose some white contrast using my PS3 HDMI to a 720P LCD panel vs when I use Y Pb/Pr I got the full white contrast range. There's shouldn't be any difference but on my setup with PS3 and my LCD panel, I do see a difference.

I DISAGREE, 120hz is awful, unless you enjoy the look of a digital video handycam. i personally prefer the natural look of 24hz or 60hz

I use RGB, but keep it set on Limited rather than Full.

My new HDTV goes stripey when I use my Wii (or older console) with the standard RGB cable, it's fine which the EDTV cable, which is YPbPr. Kinda annoys me if I try to play my NES, SNES, N64, or GCN, which only do Co-Axial or RGB, they don't have YPbPr. Doesn't bother me too much, cause I use my Wii more often.

That's because you can't use superwhite when the PS3 is set to RGB.

I have a Sony 52XBR2 and I leave it set on Y Pb/Pr since I don't see much difference after I up the brightness for the RGB setting but lose the full white contrast range.

When you first switch over to RGB you notice a big difference but you then have to up the brightness so much to make up for it that it ends up looking the same but without as much contrast range.
