No idea who these guys are, but they seem to be a new outfit that have secured a few good titles for upcoming release including Hidden Agenda, River's Edge, and most importantly, Mr. Majestyk.
Anyone know anything about these guys? |

Good line-up. Other than those mentioned, On The Beach, The Little Girl Who Lives down The Lane, The Trip, The Last Embrace… I've been putting off On The Beach and Mr Majestyk so here's hoping they're at least a match for the other releases. Already have the Kino Last Embrace.

Certainly an interesting and good variety of selects for their 1st batch of releases. All the best to hopefully another welcome addition to the UK boutique scene.
I'll pick up River's Edge and Mr Majestyk on release. Interested in The Little Girl Who lives Down The Lane - 1st I've heard of this one. Not sure about The Last Embrace, maybe pick it up later down the line. |

If they just put out MGM titles I'd be happy as there's loads that they could put out. I wanted the Kino releases, but as far as I'm aware they're all region locked. These probably won't have any extras as the original MGM DVDs usually only had a trailer and sometimes a commentary track as well. There were some MGM Special Edition DVDs, so hopefully if some of these come out, they carry the special features over
There are MGM titles that other labels like Eureka, Second Run and Arrow won't put out |

Very interested in this new UK label, and a promising first batch of Blu-ray titles. Going to keep my expectations low-ish, in case something goes wrong with the transfer and audio, and with the possibility of extras on each title.
Do not mind at all if they release just titles from the MGM library. |

I'm wondering when (or if) the Blu-ray titles from Signal One Entertainment are going to come down in price. Is it normal for the pre-order prices to stay around the same they were a couple of weeks ago?

It will be a pity if the follow the Studio Canal policy of sky high prices for back catalogue titles as it's not going to help them take off as a new distributor in the UK market. They need to be follow the model of some of the other small niche players and pricing in the £10 to £12 range. Any more and they need to justify the extra in newly produced bonus features or their own restorations like Arrow or Eureka. |

On The Beach is down to £14 at Amazon and River's Edge a more respectable £12.50. Bearing in mind they also have some of the DVD's at over £24 I'm guessing the pricing is yet to settle for these.
HMV have On The Beach at an earth-shattering £19.99! http://store.hmv.com/film-tv/blu-ray/on-the-beach I agree they need to come into line with other labels of a similar ilk. They'll be regurgitating MGM transfers it looks and judging by the reviews of Mr Majestyk for instance, that's certainly not a £15+ transfer. |

Taking mediocre off the shelf masters without doing any extra work to them, and not making any new extras, these look as if they should be no more than £10.
