I am having some trouble scanning this disc. The current standalone BDInfo (version 0.7.5.6) is not seeing the contents of the disc properly, reporting two LPCM 2.0 audio tracks (one of which is hidden) and a hidden subtitle file:

However, what is on this disc is a single DTS-HD MA 5.1 track and any subtitles seem to be burnt-in to the video. I have not watched the disc yet, but I wanted to post this scan made with a different BDInfo version now, in case it gets deleted somehow before I can post it. I watched my copy today and can confirm that the subtitles are burnt into the video. They are in a standard white font in a very comfortable size and appear inside the image frame (above the bottom black bar). The subtitles use American English spellings and the translation appears to be excellent, but unfortunately, I noted one small spelling error at 01:05:30:

Thanks for the info! Did you notice any encoding anomalies by any chance? Dazzler have a good track record when it comes to 4K releases but their BDs are usually less accomplished (May December in particular). Despite the burnt-in subtitles, which is also true for the new Altitude release of I’m Still Here, I really hope that this is the English-friendly release to own as I don’t see another happening elsewhere.

I'm not great with that sort of thing, but several scenes seem to have video noise, possibly from the way it was shot "in secret". I was surprised there was a significant amount of location shooting, although it was mostly in one place, which I suppose could have been isolated. I didn't spot any other issues with the image, but I was pretty engrossed in the film.

The US disc apparently has optional subtitles and I was going to buy it to compare, but I read today that the featurette on it is only four minutes long and the only other extra is the trailer, so I decided that wasn't enough for me to buy it.

I think the only discs with any decent extras are in France and Germany. The German disc also seems to have 7.1 audio tracks, but I don't know how the 7.1 was created.

Sorry I can't give you a better answer, but I can say that I thought the film was tremendous and well worth owning. I was curious what Dazzler would do with it and while the burnt-in subtitles and total lack of extras is a shame, I don't regret the purchase.

I think Criterion could put this out later a la MOONAGE DAYDREAM, but who knows.
