Default Poll: Onkyo tx-sr605 silver or black?

Ok its poll time. I plan to pick up this receiver (onkyo tx-sr605) within the next month. I will pair it with the Panasonic DMPBD30AK (just purchases $369 price match at BB) and the 40" Sony XBR4. This combination will ultimately be in my bedroom. I am not sure of location, but probably the TV will be on the wall and the BD player, receiver, and Cable or Satellite Box in some type of AV Rack. Presently my Comcast Cable Box is Silver but I plan to switch to Direct TV next football season and I have no idea what color the Satellite boxes are. I have not decided on speakers, but I am wondering about opinions on which color (Black or Silver) receiver to buy? At this point black seems to be the better option to match the player, but I would appreciate everyone's feedback.

Remember this is a poll about what I should do and not what everyone else has purchased! Thanks in advance. I guess I need to update my sig.

Its all about the black. Ive got the same model in black myself and I love it...Unfortunately I have to it hooked up to my 32" TV at the moment not the 46" I have to wait for a friend of mine to come so he can help me hook it up to the 46" and help me put the speakers (Onkyo 7.1) on the walls, etc. God that's gonna be a ***** this weekend probably...so much speaker wire.....

anyway I digress.....black black black black black! Itll go nice with the BD player...

Cool Famous quote

To quote a line from a famous movie:

"Machines, like gloves, should only be black or white."

I'll bet nobody on this site can even guess the film or the character who said it. Surprise me.

I'd go with black because thats the color im going to go with. Though, it won't match my TV because its silver, but it will match my PS3 which is black!

I say go with the black one. Silver was the popular choice when most people owned tube TV's. Almost all the flat panels are black and the black a/v equipment is a better match.

Go with black, silver was more of a trendy color for A/V electronics. Trends come and trend go, but classics, are classics forever.

As Miss Dorothy said in Thoroughly Modern Millie... Machines, like gloves, should be either black or white".

EDIT: Jim, I have bolded what I believe is the correct part of the quote. The actress was Mary Tyler Moore, just in case.

Silver. Easier to read the button labels. But I do like the GREEN txt LED on the Black. Silver has GOLD txt.

I stand corrected.

Good guess for something from an older film.

It really depends on if you want to match your other equipment. Bust since my tv and BD player are black I chose black.

i pick silver. i just picked up the silver 705. Directv, for the moment, is all silver. my tv is dull silver and my speakers are black. my ps3 is the 60gb with black and chrome and my entertainment center is black with silver accents. so for me it's a good match.
