If anyone complains about the price then they are not the targeted demographic, and you probably wouldn't need the controller anyway.

A little too pricey for my taste but it's still pretty cool. I imagine if Xbox One existed in that movie The Wizard, the Power Glove kid with that shaggy mullet would own it and his henchman Tobey Maguire would be following him around.

Or that they see that regular gouging for regular controllers is bad enough and that this is just ridiculous.

The controller is not for you then.

Go and price a Scuf controller, the price is similar, and you will be able to get this controller at a B&M store. The controller is meant for hardcore players, and in most situations hardcore FPS fans. Those fans will pay top tier for a controller like this.

Seems to me that those complaining about the price are not clear on what it is intended for, and how much said controllers normally go for.

It's not ridiculous for this type of controller. This type of controller does go for around this price and are only for people who will spend the extra money to get this type of controller. This isn't for the casual gamer.

At least it's not $100 million.

Or did Microsoft pay more to make this? Crap now I forgot.

Anyway, I'm keeping my pre-order. I understand this is for the hardcore, but for me, I want a sturdier Xbox One controller & I am pretty sure this will deliver the goods not just with FPS games either.

Honestly, I'll consider buying one once the reviews pour in. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I hate how cheap and fragile the One controller feels in my hands. I have 3, and they all seem to have a slightly different feel in the hands. I love the design, but they're nowhere near as sturdy as the 360 build.

I love the XO controller more so than PS4's or Wii U's but good god this is as if the God's of Gaming came into work and produced the ultimate gaming controller. Sure as hell it isn't for casual gaming given how sturdy and pricey it is.

Now here's the question, will it blend?

A Microsoft Scuf controller is basically what it is. Have mine pre-ordered. The price is right in line with that of controllers in its class. There are still actual Scuf controllers that are more than $150 and comes with less parts than this Elite controller. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I know that it's not their concern but for $150 they might've been able to also make this Xbox One Elite controller compatible with Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Wii U.

After all, there is the Cronus Max that allows to do such thing so who knows but without permission from Sony and Nintendo it'd be very unlikely.

Microsoft has easily the best controller of gen 8. 360 was my favourite controller of the last gen too.

MS always makes awesome controllers. I love my X1 controller over the DS4.

The biggest difference I notice between the 2 is the Analog Stick grips are better then PS4's & are even better then Grip-it's on the PS4.

Second is air flow. DS4 doesn't breath as well so it doesn't take long before you start slipping across the pad & analog sticks during crucial points in a game.

My negative about the Xbox One is form factor.

Even with this new elite I don't think it will make a difference. Your hands can literally cramp after 6-8 hours of play. The face plate on Xbox One is simply not ergonomically efficient.

Whenever I play on my Original Xbox it's always a joy to press on the black and white buttons. I miss not having them on the 360 controller in some way. :-|

Xbox Controller S was absolutely fantastic too and very comfy. Sure yeah, the D-PAD wasn't great but I was always using the analogue stick so it didn't matter.

I was skeptical about the weight & it having more of an interchangeable part focus then the actual durability of it.

Thanks for the vid.

It's the first thing that's mentioned in the video as well as stress tests. I'm buying this controller because the original (Even my Evil Controller) does not feel like it's built to last, even for casual gamers.

The App & features are just the icing on the cake for me whereas others will buy this for the alternate reason. Modding.
