Default Lost in the Shuffle

'Lost in the Shuffle' is a new documentary film, written/produced/directed by Jon Ornoy and starring five notable award-winning magicians; Shawn Farquhar, Alexandra Duvivier, Juan Tamariz, Michael Vincent and Richard Turner. The film debuted at the Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto in April and it received rave reviews. It has also played at various magic conventions, as well as had a limited number of theatrical screenings in a number of larger cities, until finally being released on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital streaming (rental and purchase) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

The film follows Championship Magician Shawn Farquhar as he travels to several countries to investigate his theory about the genesis of the artwork found on court cards in a pack of playing cards. As amazing as it may seem, there's no known record of exactly who created the original artwork. Shawn's theory is the artwork on specific court cards is the key to a centuries-old cold-case murder mystery!

The film was fascinating and highly entertaining! My wife and I both loved it! The Booth Bijou gives the film 5 out of 5 stars!

Of course, I admit a bias because I love the underlying subject matter (Magic) but I feel ALL audiences will enjoy the film. I encourage everyone to get "Lost in the Shuffle"!

P.S. Full disclosure: Shawn Farquhar is a friend. But I'd love the film even if I didn't know Shawn.
