Bruno was one of the worst films I have ever seen, so will not be picking that up.

It looks like Borat came out yesterday in the UK, but I can't find any reviews or talk about it at all. Has anyone picked it up? I'd love to see some quick reviews about audio/video quality, and of course the eternal question as to whether it's region free or not.

Per standard Fox release expect the audio to be 5.1 DTS-HD MA. The video is most likely to be 1080p AVC 1:85:1. DO NOT expect the transfer to be wonderful as many scenes in the film were shot in standard def but I would imagine it would be at least an upgrade over the DVD.

I love the scene where he wrestles his manager and they are both nude.

Going by the German spec info that's right. Strange though that not even DVD Times posted anything about the release. The German version only has 3 extras btw so I'm hoping the UK release will be somewhat better in that department but not holding my breath.

I know, for such a successful film you would have thought that Fox would have sent through some Press Info. Hopefully, the Blu-ray maintains all of the extras from the DVD.

Even though this is a stab in the dark, many Fox catalogue releases here in the UK have been ABC so hopefully this one will follow suit.

Yeah, region code and extras is what I'm most curious about. I know the film was shot in standard def for certain scenes, so I'm not expecting a ton out of it in that department (here's to hoping the hotel fight was one of those standard def scenes.. haha). But region coding is kind of important.

Well I cant make any promises about region coding yet but, I will definately be on the look out for confirmation and as soon as I find out more regarding Region Coding and Extras and I will be posting it here.

Actually, many UK Fox catalogue releases have been region free as of late so this is really no surprise especially as they are the distributor in America as well.
The only downside to this is that they seem to be locking the American discs yet the UK discs are region free but are exactly the same contents wise

please someone in the US, when you get this, confirm that it's region free. I know it says it on the back of the box, but you never can be too sure.
