I know 4K Blu ray discs are considered a niche market, so naturally not every film on earth will be put on the format, but I still think there's a lot of great movies that have been released thus far.
One area where I think the format could improve is more TV series coming out on 4K discs. As it stands, the only series out on 4K discs include Westworld, Game of Thrones, BBC documentaries, and limited edition releases of Stranger Things. TV shows are still released on boxsets these days. I realize a lot of shows do not have high production values, but a bump in resolution and HDR/WCG would do a lot of shows some good. Doctor Who, Grey's Anatomy, the Arrowverse shows, Shameless, The Office, Supernatural, Outlander, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, etc.--- WHY SHOULDN'T THESE SHOWS BE ON 4K DISC? |
