Oh wow! I love the Mummy's shroud, one of the best design for any mummy ever put on screen.
Obviously, it doesn't hold a candle to the first one (my favorite Hammer movie) but it is a bit better than the sequel and infinitly better than the last one (Tomb).
Now, all 3 Hammer movies directed by John Gilling will be released in North America. Imo, while he only did 3 movies for Hammer, he was easily the second best director (after Terence, of course) to make horror movies for Hammer (The reptile and Plague of the zombies being his other two movies).

Love that tagline - "Beware the beat of the cloth-wrapped feet" LOL.

He also directed Shadow Of The Cat for Hammer, I think- I'm trying to find out info on this one because I've never seen it, but my understanding is it was made for Hammer and then didn't have Hammer's name on it for some legal reason. It stars Barbara Shelley and Andre Morrell and is from 1961 and I'm kinda dying to see it, but looks like it's only available in a region B dvd.

I really like the image, and the caption. It could deal with some color variations, but otherwise I think it's fine.

The poster is based off this sketch, which was used for the French version of the poster. I would definitely have preferred this colored version to the monochrome we got.

Oh wow, that's so much better! I love that originally one of these mummy movies (the second one i think) was supposed to feature a giant size mummy, kind of like in the old Superman Fleisher cartoon. It was just too ambitious, obviously, but it explains some of the posters.

Did not know he directed that one! I skip it last year when I did my 50 Hammer movie marathon. That is one heck of a cast!

Haha, I should have known. I just imported this from Europe last week! Glad it's getting a US release though.

I'm going to say Shout chose the right color scheme for the poster, when it comes to Hammer, garish colors preferable.

Never saw this one but I'm a sucker for a good mummy film.....except for any starring Tom Cruise.

I watched the SF disc of Frankenstein Created Woman last night and they had a trailer on there with a double-feature release of the two - made me wonder when they'd release Mummy's Shroud. And here it is.

I love the Hammer version of The Mummy, I need to see more of their sequels. I only have the one on the Mill Creek disc.

Awesome! The last of my favourite Hammer movies I had to replace! I can finally retire ALL those old DVDs... Keep going KL! Now please announce "Incredible Shrinking Man","The Thing that couldn't die","Curse of the Undead", " Cult of the Cobra" & "Night Monster" so my Universal Sci/Fi Horror Classics is complete as well... THANKS for all the hard work and the awesome titles you gave us in 2019!

I have that UK DVD, regrettably it is fullscreen and not from a very good master, either. But it's the only home video release we've got so far. This was a Hammer movie, originally distributed in the U.S. by Universal.-International. I really don't know what the problem with the rights of this movie is, but it is a very good film and it's sad not to see it on any BD release schedule.
