Default Peter Pan (Mary Martin Version)

I haven't been on here in awhile, but I was just browsing the pre-order/upcoming release sections and came across this:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Peter...7521/#Overview
I'm very curious to see if this has decent PQ when it comes out. If it does, I'll gladly retire my VHS-to-DVD copy.

Very cool, but I guess this won't include the version I'm most familiar with - the 1960 film.

I want that version so bad. That was my first introduction to the Peter Pan mythology.

The 1960 version was shot on video so any release will need to be up-converted or released as an SD-on-Blu-ray title (also, I believe Universal owns that one's rights).

No doubt, but I would accept any release at this point.

Oh yeah, I had the years mixed up. The 1960 version is the one I grew up watching, too (and the only one I would want to own). Oh well, I guess I'll be sticking to my VHS to DVD copy after all. It may look crappy, but it's better than not having it at all!

The 55 and 56 versions are Black & White kinescopes (telerecordings) of live broadcast. I'm not sure what type of resolution will be received from them, unless the were in awfully good condition. But either way, they aren't exactly fil productions. I would still like to see the taped 1960 color version.

I actually have the GoodTimes "snapper case" DVD release of the 1960 version, which is officially licensed by NBC, of course.
