Default Xmen? Where's the trilogy?

I've been wanting to get the third Xmen movie for a while now but for some reason it just doesn't feel worth it without the other two

I did see a Fox blu-ray promo at BBuy a few weeks ago, and when they were showing BD-Java features they showed scenes from X2, and how one could use an internet-connected player to watch live feeds from comic con.

I expect X-Men, X2, Spider-Man, and Spider-Man 2 to be released at various points to help bolster the release schedule this year. Out of those, I would buy the first two X-Men films and Spidey 2.

I can't wait for the first two X-Men to come to Blu. The third was so disappointing that I don't even want it.

I could see them holding off on XMen 1 and X2 until the Wolverine spin-off hit in 2009.

Oh come on the third movie was pretty good. It was not as great as X2 .. but it was still a good movie. Some annoying things like Iceman/Pyro fight was lame. The character killing was pretty smart really. Charles lived and Cyclops was never confirmed killed. It was more like a comic

I, too have been waiting patiently for the first two...and for some reason I can't bring myself to buy the third until then. I guess I have a thing for box sets, lol.

Forgot about that. I remember watching that opening scene in theaters on release day. What a great opening! See.. X3 was good but had nothing like that.

I liked X3, but agree with you guys, the first 2 were better, especially X2.

What is it about the 3rd movie, that's always a let down?

Rush Hour III
Shrek The Third
Spiderman III
Godfather III
Superman III
Batman III (w/Jim Carrey/Tommy Lee Jones
None were just completely awful, but certainly not as good as the first ones in the series. In several cases, the second movie was the best of the bunch.
ETC..

X2 was one of the best comic book movies period. X3, at best, middle of the pack.

I'm all over having X-men and X-2 on blu ray.
I'm wondering when they'll get around to making a third one though. What do you mean, Trilogy?

Yeah, I'd definitely get the first two, but then ignore the third one.

And as per "all part three's suck", I'd like to counter that with a recent one (OCEAN'S THIRTEEN, which we can all agree was better than the second one) and an older one (BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III, which when I saw when I was six, was the thing that made me decide to be a filmmaker)

Back to the Future is not a better film that 1 or 2.. but was still good on its own.
