Hello, anyone know if Gangs of New York will be released sooner or later.

It is true. The other solution (like me) is to buy old Samsung BDP-1000 and get the firmware from UK website and voila..... it is now region B..... So currently I have covered 99% of Blu-ray released all around the world..

The euro release wasn't handled by Miramax, it was done by "Entertainement in Video" and reports are that it's a mediocre poor encode. I'm actually hoping that Disney will bring out a top-drawer region free version.

i would not buy this, but i'd rent it. i felt that this movie's ending could have been so much better, but to me it was a big let down after 2 1/2 hrs of building story, just to end it like that, ugh.

I loved this movie, however I hope when it is released on blu they fit the whole movie on one disc. That sucked on the dvd version.
