Has anyone ever had this happen to them.
Sold a code for Batman: The Animated Series but before sending it I used Vudu in incognito mode to check the code and the code tested fine; however the buyer reported that the code redeemed for Batman Beyond: The Complete Series. I've never had a code test good against one title and then redeem for another. Shouldn't Vudu have generated an error message that the code was wrong? |

I had the same issue with a different title. Redeemed Friday the 13th complete collection code at Vudu and had selected the right title. Ended up redeeming as Friday 1-3 collection (the Ice Cube comedy movies) in SD. Tried again (after getting another code) and selected the right title and Vudu redeemed it as just Friday the 13th (2009). Had to get yet another code from Warner Bros and after just using the wbredeem page and having it send me to redeem at Vudu, it finally redeemed for the right thing.
Not the same title but thought I'd echo a similar experience. You can always reach out to the company that issued the digital code and explain the situation and ask for a replacement. That's what I did. They may want pictures of your blu-ray itself though |

Ask for a screen shot of their purchase history. That's not to say they couldn't have traded your code to someone else for a Batman Beyond code, then claim yours was wrong for a refund? Not saying that's the deal, but it could happen.

I've redeemed well over 1,000 codes and only twice did I receive a different movie.
My Jaws code redeemed for The Artist and I can't remember the other. So it does happen but it's rather rare. Try checking the Vudu forums. When you checked the code did it show the correct title or no title ? |

Just never had Vudu show a code valid for a specific title and then redeem for something else. Quote:

To answer your questions: 1. yes, on occasion there is some glitch like this, a code redeems for the wrong item. I've seen it reported about a single code, and a few times where codes included in a title were all redeeming the wrong item (until they fixed that run). 2. Vudu is not consistent. Sometimes the code will not redeem/test if not the right code for the item you're redeeming/testing. And sometimes the code WILL redeem. For example, sometimes with a movie series, you can try the Movie 3 code in the Movie 4 redeem page, and the code will redeem Movie 3, even though you used Movie 4's redeem page. Other times it might not work, you try to redeem Film 7 in Film 5's redeem page, it will not let you redeem. In the former, then yes, if you had a Batman Beyond code from your Animated set, it is not a surprise that it redeemed on the Animated page, but redeemed the item corresponding to what the code unlocked (Batman Beyond). Warner, Sony and some others do this. If you check a title and its from the same studio it will show it is good no matter what title you pick.
Best way to combat this: Paramount - check on the site Warner - check on their site: 1) log out of vudu 2) click redeem on warner and it will bring up the correct title redeem page when redirecting to vudu OR for movies check MA Sony and Universal - check on MA Lionsgate - not sure other than making sure you have the code and title in hand ![]() |

I had this same thing happen, Ghostbusters redeemed as Ghostbusters 2. They game me a new code, I had to email them pictures of the code, the J card, and the steelbook. They must have known about it because I didn't get much of a hassle.
