Ah don't start with that. It's not like the 5.1 track of the shout disc is a travesty, in fact it sounds pretty goddamn good. This isn't some Terminator revisionist shit here, but the fact a surround track isn't included greatly minimized my interest. I thought options were a thing that was promoted around here? But then again your're one who'd rather stick with a standard blu than a 4k Sony disc...

And yet again, I'd stick with a standard Blu with a killer 5.1 track so I guess we're both wrong.

I don't understand. A Carpenter film which has never been treated properly is unpredictably coming to UHD with the original mix and already there's a complaint about a revisionist mix not being included?

One can easily press a button on their system and fill all their speakers if they want. It's kind of frustrating reading this when we'll be extremely lucky if Halloween has the original mono.

The Scream! disc was great! Barring a bit of edge enhancement, the video could have been a bit better but the 5.1 track did A LOT of justice to Carpenter's fantastic score. True separation vs. emulated sound design is not nearly the same thing as you put it with "just hitting a button". Don't get me wrong, I'm greatly in favor of original sound design, especially after the 4.0 track from THE THING but PRINCE OF DARKNESS' 5.1 track sounded stellar. I'm simply saying an option would have been nice.
