Mill Creek will be releasing The Cure (1995) on Blu-ray on October 4th, in a retro VHS packaging.

Jesuuuuuuus this movie.

I don’t think I could physically and mentally sit through it again, but even as a Mill Creek dump, I can’t recommend it enough.

What a lovely and simple story about boyhood friendship with an ending that, despite the manipulations of the plot, will still earn your tears fair and square.

RIP Renfro, this was one of your very best (the rest of the cast is also excellent, but he just wrenches the heart outta you).

I hope it’s a decent transfer, at least.

NO WAY! This is truly my most wanted title on blu-ray. Such a fantastic movie, and a favorite of my family's. My mom, sister, and I picked it up at the video store one day and watched it and were all a mess by the time it ended. Absolutely fantastic film. I watched it about a decade ago, and it has aged a little clunk-ily, but was still a great, nostalgic blast.

I hope Mill Creek does it justice!

It sure does. What a stupid blunder on their part. Thankfully, the back of the actual artwork only has the PG-13 rating. I hope they fix this blunder before release day.

I bought the Japanese blu-ray last year. A very beautiful widescreen presentation, to my eyes. I will buy this just to support the fact that it's being released. Hopefully it's as nice looking as the Japanese disc... I know Mill Creek isn't known for quality, but more for just getting things released or back in print.

Watched this when I was young. It absolutely crushed me. I recommend watching it at least once though as it is fairly good.

When I first watched it, I was really enjoying the story....but when I saw him walk away with only one shoe......I started bawling like a baby. That movie made such a huge impact on me.

Yeah it half traumatized me lol. But it’s a good story.
