Also on Amazon Germany. Seems like all are going for the same cover artwork. German release date is December 19.

Default Does the Dunkirk 4K disc have issues?

I've picked Dunkirk up from CEX and twice have had to return it. The first time it kept skipping major chunks. The second time, the disc wouldn't even load up. Both discs looked brand new, bar the little smudge here and there. Something that had never been a problem on other 4K discs.

Was there ever a problem with the Dunkirk 4K disc or have I just been really unlucky?

I don't think I had a problem with Dunkirk, but with the 4K format generally I've had massive problems with failed discs - probably something like 1 in 8 discs has to be returned. I had nothing like this level of failure with blu ray or dvd formats.

Yes, it does have issues. It's a crap film. If the disc is skipping 'major chunks' then it's doing you massive favor.

I've never had a faulty 4K disc. Minor compatibility issues like the startup screens on Cliffhanger and Prince of Darkness displaying as static noise, but otherwise they've all been fine. Sounds like some players are oversensitive, especially the expensive ones.

I remember reports of people having problem with the disc when it came out. I haven't checked my own disc yet, so I don't if my disc has a problem.

I got the steelbook and twice now there's been some small artifacts and screeching around the point where the guys are making their way to the fishing boat, which will soon fill with water. Movie seems to skip a bit there but overall seems like I'm missing just a few seconds at most. Not sure if this is that issue.

I would say forums like this do likely provide a bit of a false impression of how likely issues are given that people who suffer them are much more likely to mention it than those who don't.

Got almost 600 UHDs and I cannot recall having to return a single one of them because of some sort of invisible pressing fault. I've had a couple that were physically scratched or damaged which didn't play properly and were sent back, but that happens with any form of packaged media.

Sent Hulk back to zavvi last week, my first UHD to go back. The only thing I could see was a weird almost flecked edge to the underside of the disc as you might see on imperfections in record pressing. Given that it couldnt get past the menu I assumed it could only be a pressing problem
