Heyo folks! So I generally don't like to talk about anything non-home-theater-related on here for anonymity's sake but I wanted to ask about something and this is one of the only forums I'm really on and didn't wanna start up a new account on another one.
So, I have strep throat, yay. I already got medicine for it and am feeling better. Last year I got strep throat also, and it was my first time getting it. It's also worth noting that last year was when a Planet Fitness opened up a few blocks from me and I joined it. And, I have noticed that in both instances of strep, I really began to notice symptoms after a session at said gym, and also that said gym can be pretty crowded and, on occasion, smell pretty god awful, and I did also once get a pretty gross bump on my elbow that, when I read up on, turned out to be a (thankfully harmless and passing) surface-level skin thing caused by a bacteria that commonly builds up in gyms. So, I was wondering, is it possible that the gym is where I've been picking up strep throat? And if so, is there any way I can avoid this? |
