Yes, it would replace the original as my preferred version of the film. |

No, revision is gross. Films should remain representations of the era in which they were made. |

They can do it for people who want it, but I would still choose to watch the original version. |

Would you be interested in the first 'Toy Story' film being re-rendered to have the animation quality of the most recent sequel?
I'm not talking about changing the narrative content, pacing, or blocking of any scenes. It would be the exact same length and everything would play out the same way with the same audio. It would be the same movie, just with more detailed character models and backgrounds, more fluid movements, more evolved lighting techniques. Normally, I'm not big on revision, especially of beloved films. But this is one case where if they did it, the re-rendered version of the film would be my preferred version to watch. What do you think? |

I chose "They can do it for people who want it, but I would still choose to watch the original version."
Although, I would personally watch both versions, and then decide what my preferred version would be. There is no way I could personally decide before seeing both versions and making comparisons. |

The film looks fine the way it is and doesn't need higher rez images. If anything the less detailed imagery of the first Toy Story does a better job of capturing the make believe feel of something like Toy Story.
![]() The more photorealistic look of Toy Story 4 actually looks a bit more dull and less magical to me. |
