It appears we now have our first confirmation of a complete series release for The X-Files with the Classification Board classifying special features for a release! About damn time!

Don't know how I'll get through 9 seasons in a matter of weeks though to be prepared for the new season in January!

Would be strange if Fox would release Alias, as this is a Disney release.

sorry you are absolutely right, I had wrongly assumed Alias to be a Fox show all these years. Still Fox has many shows it needs to put out on blu!

That's pretty much bang on the price I expected for the Complete Set, but in NZ dollars. Any higher and I guess I won't be buying on 'Day 1'.

So they will release this and then a few months after revival has finished, release a new boxset? - I will get sucked in to buying both, no doubt.

Depends if the 2016 show really is just a one off. Hopefully the ratings are much higher than they expect, and it becomes a new series.

Boardwalk Empire started out like that.. was originally billed as a Mini-Series but then it turned into five seasons.

Yeah I'm kind of curious where they are going with it.6 episodes seems like too much of a tease. I don't think the short length is something anyone other than the team would do. If Carter has said a 22 episode season and Duchovny and Anderson agreed, we'd have had that.

I know the cast are also interested in making more x-files movies. I just wonder how many times I am going to be double dipping!

You won't need to double dip at all mate, you could simply purchase any season to come individually, the only reason to double dip is your own obsession with packaging

I don't think more special features for seasons 1-9 will be added to future sets.
