I watched the second film a few weeks ago and thought how nice it could look on blu

Ugh, they want to be colourful and garish covers, like the original film posters. Not this 'modern' nonsense.

Yeah dreadful...

They've used elements of the original posters but they should JUST use those posters (or elements) in their original colours. I mean, I love Peter Cushing but his face over that blued-out image doesn't really capture the "feel" of these films.

I actually like the covers - they're modern but retain an element of retro. Hopefully that big anniversary stamp is a sticker. I'll still get some customs made featuring original artwork.

They could have been a lot worse.

2 brilliant. colourful, eye catching original posters, which would leap out at you when browsing the shelves, and what do they do intead?
DULL, DULL, DULL.

Maybe I'll pick them up when they are reduced. Or repackaged.

Well, I suppose they're no worse than the Anchor Bay or Optimum DVD covers, though the latter did have a mini poster of Invasion Earth

Isn't it the film that matters?
If the transfers are great why would waiting for a reduction in price help? You either want them or you don't, surely the packaging isn't the deciding factor......is it?

At least the designs marry up together and have some thought put into them. They could've done some awful photoshopped disaster which would've been worse.
I'm all for original poster art but I really don't think these are that bad.

I've never been a fan of Dr Who show past or present but I enjoyed these two Cushing movies when I was young, wouldn't mind watching them again, though a cheaper two pack would be in order. £25 is a bit much.

I'm definitely buying them, but the covers are still horrendous. Looks like I'll be making some custom covers, in the feel of Classic Who DVD releases.

(And yes, I am aware that these were not produced by the BBC, but it's MY collection, so shut up, lol!

Really looking forward to these, just hope they're fault free (unlike some of the earlier DVD releases!)

Any official word yet as to the Extra's that will feature on the Blu-Rays for both movies?

Looking forward to getting both of these. I'll probably go for the limited edition set if it does include both films, seems to be cheaper doing it that way anyway. Though they seem to be leaving it late to announce it.
