Ron Perlman as Hellboy was a perfect fit - the acting - the innate sarcasm/wise-ass of the character was well done. Doug Jones was excellently eerie as Abe. The Nazi Assassin character was memorable as a villain - and it was a well-done plot, in my opinion, great work by Guillermo del Toro. Special effects were a bit lacking, though, and it ended kind of quickly.

I liked it though, and would watch the 2nd.

Hellboy was disappointing, so naturally I couldn't care less about Hellboy II.

I'd be all over it. I loved the first one. I'm amazed at Ron Perlman's agility in this sequel... the dude is pushing 60.

I liked the first one, not for the story, monsters, or special effects, but because the Hellboy character had such amazing personality. He was so glib and nonchalant about everything. Really funny without being corny.
I hope that his character retains that in the second one as well.
Universal will have to go blu as they have stockholders that will not be pleased with them missing out on so many sales b/c of pride and being stubborn.

I absolutely loved the first Hellboy. The new trailer doesn't really impress me, but I'm sure this movie with be as good, if not better than the first. I have faith in Guillermo.

99% of sequel movies are BAD....I don't expect this one to be good at all. You know about those trailer...always making it look good until you see the full length movie LOL.

the 1% is Lord of the Rings

Hellboy is a great movie. See it. It's a must for comic book lovers. Ron Perlman is the ONLY man who could play Hellboy.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first one (I had very low expectations going into it). I am really excited for the sequel and this trailer makes it look like it will be 10x better than the first movie.

Shoot - Empire Strikes Back, X-Men II, Spider-man II are a few I'd through out there as successful sequels, too. Godfather Pt. II?!?!
