France Christine

Hi. This has been mentioned on the forum but I thought I'd make an explicit thread for it. The French 4K from Carlotta is a different encode than the Sony disc. In fact, David M's Fidelity in Motion handled it. I watched it last night. It's drop dead gorgeous. I've pasted the disc info below.

Code:

Extras are slim. Teaser, theatrical trailer, and commentary with John Carpenter and Keith Gordon. For me, the A/V is what counts. In that department, David M. hit a home run. I'm sure the Sony disc is just fine, Sony being Sony. Still, as I understand things, without all the extra soundtracks, the video was given some extra bits. I wasn't pixel peeping but I can usually spot at least some in-motion anomalies. What I saw last night was probably about as close to an opening night print as will ever be possible. Kudos to everybody involved. I've already purchased the "Crash" 4K from Germany but, with Carlotta handling that one, I'll admit that a double dip may be in my future if David M. gets that job.
