What is so special about 24p over 60p? Movie theater screens look blurry to me even if I sit in the back row of seats and my vision is 15/20 in each eye. Will setting my BD player to output 24p instead of 60p cause the same blurry effect that I see in the theaters?

Found the answer at:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=3625 So 24p is preferred if your player can output 24p and your TV's refresh rate is a multiple of 24. What a mess if your TV's refresh rate is 60p! So, the motion artifacts occur with the 60p TVs. I had it backwards! I was thinking about games where 60 fps has less motion artifacts for action games and thus superior to 24 fps. My 47 in LCD is 60p ![]() |

The 24p standard is not a lucid concept for me except that in the 20th century it served its purpose. Can it survive in the 21st century? Hopefully not. Sorry if I am ![]() |
