H-DuD owner seem to have really liked how it looked and sounded... I'm eagerly awaiting the Blu with an optimized encode and lossless sound.

you guys really think this movie is good? ive been wanting to see it but everyone I know who seen it ( and its a lot of people) said the movie was lame. Should i just try to see for my self? because if it comes out on blu i dont want to blind buy and be dissapointed.

Its a great movie, but I can see why the majority of people would not dig it...when films like Epic Movie still get made

I have this on import. The PQ is fantastic- light grain, adds to the grittiness feel of the flick. AQ is so-so, since it's not lossless. Overall I love the movie. If it comes to the US on blu and has lossless I'd even double-dip for it if the PQ was as good or better.

i was so disapointed by this film, i had such high hopes. The film defiently had some great moments but I just found it to be pretentious, it was asthough they really strugled to make an intelligent socialy concious film, but it just didnt work for me. Anyone else?

I thought it was brilliant. Nicely dark and quite shocking.

Great grownup science fiction, and the cinematography is absolutely stunning. I would have no problem recommending it to anyone.

The shake-and-bake cinematography was distracting to the point of irritation, and the sci-fi elements were diluted by what what seemed to be an endless series of contrived action and chase scenes. The ending was disappointing.

Having enjoyed many of Clive Owens' earlier efforts and With the film's critical acclaim, I had high hopes for this film. But between the issues mentioned above and the film's preachy themes on global warming (more Hollywood greenwashing), immigration, and other topical issues, the movie fell from being entertainment to a source of irritation. Based on the comments of others leaving the theater, I was not alone in my low regard for the movie.

It just edged out "Snakes on a Plane" in box office receipts.

Basing a movie off box office sales is not smart, because the general public does not like good films.

I have the HDdvd and Universal did a good job on it,
solid transfer.

still, lossless audio lacks that's why a blu-ray would be welcome

btw, Michael Caine is excellent in it!

Its definately worth a rent to see whether or not you'll like it.

I personally didn't like it and found it to be too much like War of the Worlds in the sense of 'We have to get from point A to point B and include some story to it'.

GReat futuristic story. Well done, effective... reminded me of some better sci-fi stories of the early 70's.
