Is this the theatrical or extended director's cut?

On a film note, it wasn't a bad directorial effort, but they added a lot of unnecessary Hollywoodized plot elements to it.

There was no police chase in the real incident, for instance.

Have any UHD releases utilized seamless branching yet? I'm hoping for both cuts. I was eventually planning on buying the Digibook Blu-ray release sometime in the near future.

it's a movie, not a documentary.

It's fiction. Just because it's based on reality doesn't mean it can't do whatever it darn well pleases!!!

CIA won't tell you true story. in order to rescue six Americans stranded in post-revolutionary Iran is 100 percent true, and pretty incredible. The movie is largely based on a terrific article by Joshuah.

A pretty weak film saved by Affleck's masterful direction. How the hell he didn't get nominated for Best Director is a mystery since he's won all the other Director awards.

It'll probably be a 5.1 mix like the Blu-ray, unless there's a 7.1 mix I don't know about. It never got an Atmos mix though.
