I'm not holding out much hope for this. Oskar Roehler has never made a film that's better than mediocre and Oliver Masucci (best known outside of Germany for the Netflix series Dark) is weird casting. He's 14 years older than Fassbinder was when he died and because he looks nothing like him, they've covered him in prosthetics and a glue-on beard. Why not cast an actor closer in looks and age ?

There was a pseudo-biopic on Fass made two years after his death, where he was played by Eva Mattes, and even she resembles him more, lol.
But yeah, I'm not interested in this either, looks like some run-of-the-mill quirky comedy.

well, they went for the gut. So that's neat. For some reason, RWF's gut always stood out to me. Visually and well... cuz he had a gut.

The teaser makes it look like Saturday Night Fassbinder, but Masucci was incredible in Er ist Wieder Da so I'll give it a shot.
