Ok film about junkies, earnestly incisive and of its time, but seeing it once was enough for me. It feels more like an anti-drug film you might see in school.

Wasn't this Al Pacino's first major film role? I saw this film when it first came out and remember it and both leads being pretty good. One became a major star, the other didn't. I even think about it every once in awhile and wanted to see it again some day. I'll pick this up.

I remember seeing this several years ago. I don't remember much about it other than it being "not bad".

Carlotta in France are supposed to be releasing this as part of their Ultra Collection after Cimino's Year of the Dragon. I'll probably get their collector's version of Needle Park.

I'd love a BD of Schatzberg's classic but depressing Scarecrow. It contains Al Pacino's best perfomance, IMO.

I actually did see this in high school, screened for us by my social studies teacher.

Film is more relevant than ever. They could do a remake and call it The Panic in Middle America.

Been waiting for Scarecrow for years.

One of the best films of the 70s in my opinion.

Hoping somone has it on their radar...

I'd like to see a Scarecrow blu-ray for Vilmos Zsigmond's cinematography. I'd almost dare to say Zsigmond's camera work is the best thing about that movie, and that's not a knock on the film at all.

I may get this. Great flick. I like almost all '70's films, even the lesser, more obscure ones. This was a great drama, and reminded me to some extent of Born to Win (starring George Segal), from around this same time.

It uses some basic photoshop effect and has an exorcist vomit colored font. Doesn't exactly scream effort.

Compare it to the French release:
