I really hope the SteelBook gets released in Canada. (and preferably isn't significantly more expensive than the standard BD)
According to Amazon.ca, this doesn't come out on Blu-ray/DVD in Canada until August 31. ![]() https://www.amazon.ca/Promare-Blu-ray-John-Eric-Bentley/dp/B0849T1PZ8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=promare&qid=1582931578&s=dvd&s r=1-1 I can't imagine why that would be, but I hope it's not true. EDIT: Amazon.ca now has the correct release date. Quote:

Blind pre-ordered. Did not see in theaters, but interested to see what studio Trigger did here. I would like to see how this blend of 3d, toon shaded animation translates to modern animation standards from Japan. Does it it elevate it or is at an experimental side note at best.
I watched youtube review, where the reviewer kind of alluded to the experience being in the vein of into the spider-verse. Also, they mentioned the trailer's footage is all from the start of the movie. While I did enjoy Gurren Lagann in its time, and also thought Kill La Kill was interesting, my Og fave from this creative crew is Dead Leaves. |
