If it's remade graphics, and not just a remaster, that's good. I really wish they had a game world that looked just like the glowing mazes in Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. That's something even the animated Pac Man Adventures show didn't have. The look of the retro maze and colors was awesome. The blue against the black background and the bright colors of the ghosts and pac man. Is there a full map like that in Pac Man 2? That would be great. Almost like Tron.

I am glad Pac-Man is still around in some form in 2025, all the way back from Pac-Man 1980. What a legacy as probably the most popular video game character in the entire history of video games, above Mario, Donkey Kong, and other classic era heroes of arcade games.
I heard that online only Team based Pac-Man maze game was not very good. I forget the name it had. Pac-Man World 2 Repac, it looks like a nice remake/remaster. Pac-Man set in our world, but with mazes, which is smart as that is the essence of Pac-Man. That is what the show was missing as good as it was, from Hanna Barbera, and the CGI Pac-Man Jr. type show. No focus on mazes. Every episode should've had something to do with mazes as the main theme with a unique story to it. Everywhere Pac-Man turned would be part of a new maze. The show missed that big factor. So often in the animated video game shows, they took the video game character, but put them onto Earth, totally out of their arcade game element. |

Finally playing Pac-Man World Re-Pac remaster on PS5 (I ithink I paid 4.99 on sale PS Store recently) of the PS1 game and it's really good to my surprise. I played the PS1 game, but forgot how fun the platforming gameplay is. The Pac-Man theme is heavy throughout, so that helps most of all. I'm also getting some hints of Astrobot, so I can see where that got some of its inspiration potentially.
Only thing I would change is eliminate the whole Hub station area to reach the next level. It's kind of unnecessary unless you already beat the full game. Then it makes sense. But when you're progressing, just give me level after level in order. I don't want to have to search for the next level in a platformer game in a Hub area IMO. A great game. Only wish is that the stages didn't repeat 3 times in a row. 2 times is good though. Amazing game though and still holds up all these years later. I play it literally several times every year, along with Pac-Man and some of the spin off games. |
