I can't say I'm a fan of the art on this series. Normally I'd be thrilled about a Blade Runner steelbook.

You know what it is for me personally, the horrible colours of the borders.

I quite like the vintage travel designs but for argument sake, I've edited the original to black and it looks so much better.
It's just a rough edit so you get the idea

EDIT: Saturday at 6pm for non-Red Carpet members, according to another site. Shame the accompanying A3 poster is Drew Struzan's Final Cut poster and not John Alvin's original, but hey ho.

I did something which I rarely do when acquiring a new edition of Blade Runner... I opened it! I wanted to satisfy my curiosity, what with both the Zavvi listing and the back cover claiming that Dangerous Days was on Blu-ray as opposed to a DVD. I figured this was a mistake, and so I checked.

Just a DVD. I still don't understand why WB are recycling the 2007 DVDs (when they could have included any of the bonus discs from the 30th Anniversary Edition instead), but wutevz.

I actually love the design of this series, however that was based on the mock-ups used for the listings. Now that I see the real thing in these photos I don't like that as much.
- Wait. Did they actually print the UK ratings logo on the steelbook.

I noticed that the French version is listed as being 1x4K disc and 2xBDs, while the Italian is 1x4K and 1xBD. Is that a mistake? Neither has been released yet, a few days away.
I'd rather take the Italian one and eliminate any risks of forced subs etc and the upside down spine, but the Italian one has one disc less and costs a bit more.

The French version contains the 1xUHD, 1xBD, and 1xDVD.

Terrible design I can't see anyone wanting to add this to a collection ! The standard 4K box looks a million times better.

Why is it so hard to just put Drew Struzan’s art on a Steelbook? The closest we got recently was Coming to America and even that photoshopped his art to make it look like some kind of graffiti...

There’s so many iconic posters for Blade Runner but WB doesn’t seem receptive to what fans want to pay for at all...

Released in Canada in June 2011. You can find images online.

I have the standard 4K as I was waiting for a steelbook I love. I love this steelbook. You don't like it yet here you are claiming that no one wants this sold out steel in their collections. Odd.
