Nice. I'm still PO'd that the ending of Split was unintentionally ruined for me by everyone suddenly talking about Unbreakable 2 when it came out(and James Berardinelli saying in his review that there was a cameo at the end). The only thing I didn't know going in was if the movie would end with Sam Jackson or Bruce Willis showing up.

I've been dying to see a sequel to Unbreakable for over 16 years, so I'm glad it's finally happening. I didn't even care for Split that much(aside from McAvoy's performance), but if it got us that followup, that alone made it worthwhile.

That could be interesting. I never really was a huge fan of unbreakable or split, but somehow I liked the set up. Maybe merging it into a third, final film could be a great approach to it. I like the idea

Same here.

I saw a headline of some news site that said something along the lines of "Samuel L. Jackson talks Split 2" and worse, a Letterboxd reviewer started his/her Unbreakable review with "Of course, after seeing Split I had to finally watch this..."

I was meh on Split but the ending was great, and I always liked Unbreakable. Glad to see Shyamalan at least somewhat returning to peak form. Hoping for the best.

The funny thing is I'd also ruined Unbreakable for myself by reading the script months in advance of the movie coming out. Although at least I chose to do that. And that flick was completely shrouded in secrecy. It had one brief trailer and a few TV spots and that's it. I went to an advance screening of it and I'll bet good money 90% of the audience didn't even know going in that it was a superhero movie.

Precisely.

If a person wants to know things beforehand by a decision of his/her own, that's okay. I ruined Psycho for myself due to excessive curiosity about the plot twist (a regrettable decision, I must say).

But other movie fans should respect those who didn't ask to be spoiled. Basic courtesy!

Is it even possible to spoil Psycho in this day and age? It's one of those twists(along with Empire Strikes Back and Planet of the Apes) that's immediately known the moment you emerge from the womb.

Nowadays, I dunno. Perhaps not. It's too well-known a twist, especially among movie fans.

But I spoiled it for myself back in 1998, when Van Sant's remake opened and I had just begun my love affair with cinema.

With this news, 2018 movies doesn't even exist in my mind. We can just skip that entire year and get to January 2019.
