I just wanted to share some quirks about some my various digital store accounts and hope to hear from you if you have any. I'm not looking for fixes (unless you know some), I just wanted to start a thread where members can reveal what they've found in case someone is trying to figure out something.
Just as a heads-up, I use a Roku Westinghouse 4K TV and an Android phone and tablet. - For whatever reason, Google Play won't play 4K purchases in 4K. I asked service but they kept going around, saying my internet probably isn't fast enough even though I have other apps that play 4K just fine. Luckily, Vudu, Movies Anywhere, and FandangoNow play it just fine (as does Amazon if it has a 4K version available) - Not to pick on Google, but they wouldn't let me buy the 4K extended edition of the 2005 King Kong. I told them I'd be willing to pay the full price for 4K but no sell. I had to ask Movies Anywhere to delete it, then buying it from Google (the only place I could find it in 4K) - For whatever reason, the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Looney Tunes: Back in Action only have 5.1 audio on Movies Anywhere. On all my other accounts, it's only stereo. Any weird things you've all noticed? Edit: I forgot one thing: - FandangoNow won't let you buy 4K on the phone app. DO NOT BUY FROM FANDANGO UNLESS YOU'RE ON THE ACTUAL WEBSITE. Last edited by monkeyjb1988; 07-03-2020 at 06:48 PM. Reason: forgot something |
