agree with every show on your list here is some more

How i met your mother
Supernatural
Criminal Minds
Bones
Once upon a Time (only good for one season)
Heroes (only good for one season)

that is the worst that can happen to a tv show is running past their creative timeline that you can't even remember the show was good.

While shows like Fringe,LOST,NIKITA,ALIAS,SPARTACUS,Breaking Bad ALWAYS will be remembered by its fans as "must see shows" all the way to their final episode

That's the only one I've seen and I would agree if I wasn't so fond of it and if season 8 ended up being terrible.

True Blood didn't jump the shark as Season Two was pretty average. TB is just wildly inconsistent.

Castle hasn't either, it has just added in more serious plotlines in with the comedy episodes.

Jumping the shark means a show that was at least good takes a huge turn for something nearly or actually unwatchable.

That would be shows like Californication (same season over and over), Supernatural (once they went past Kripke's 5 season plan), The League (it is looking that way), etc..

To me, "Weeds" is one of those shows. I basically stopped when they started with the Mexican Cartel Kingpin thing.

There has to be a jumping-the-shark point too. I don't think Castle has had one. You could say that Once Upon A Time... had one when they started to introduce non-fairy-tale characters into the show as it was a decent what-the-hell? moment but the quality picked up later in the season.

Star Trek TOS had a similar moment with Assignment Earth episode. I can't imagine what people thought of that if they weren't warned about it in advance. TOS has a few moments but the quality never dips too much. The finale season is pretty decent.

Just about all shows jump the shark at one point or another.

Castle? No way. Even though Beckett and Caste are now a couple, I think the characters are the strongest part of the show.

If I had to pick one that I wonder why the hell it's still going on after all these years, it's 100% Californication. I still watch it since I subscribe to Showtime, but I roll my eyes every year watching Hank and Runkel's antics.

The Walking Dead

It's went from one of the most interesting shows to one of the most boring and awful shows on TV.

Yeah, the show took a downturn once they left the burbs. I used to LOVE the show, but stopped once they went on the run.

the beckett and castle chemistry is the only thing that's worth watching

the other characters especially esposito have no lives other than to help beckett and castle and set up the episode with exposition dialogue

countless storylines like the conspiracy abandoned after one or two episodes, it's a procedural so why even bother with serial elements you're not going to follow through with? you're only making it worse, stick to whodunit

the cases are plain terrible, lazy, and they only get more over the top and ridiculous

and so far season 6 is just season 1 all over again with beckett trying to solve cases with castle in the way, only now she's with the fbi

(After Mulan showed up, though, I'm now waiting for the town's video arcade to turn out to be run by a big burly guy who used to work for the local demolition crew...
Although that Beauty & the Beast episode in the first season was also pretty shameless--"Oh, look, your teacup, it has a chip.")

A spinoff doesn't cause a show to JTS, since it separates itself and flops on its own, while the original remains relatively untouched.
(Flo getting her own sitcom didn't kill "Alice"; leaving the show, however, did.)
And while OUaTiW looks six-episode loopy (Alice in Wonderland, looking for the White Rabbit...and the Genie, and the Pirates...) the mother-show itself will just have to peter itself out trying to keep its own corporate Disney references going without an open season arc.

And one or two shows actually improved for Jumping the Shark--
Seeing a, ahem, recent comic-book series just made me sentimental for the seventh and eighth seasons of Smallville, when Warner just pushed the main characters aside and paraded a live audition of a new spinoff DC hero every week.
Would that their counterpart soon give up their higher principles and learn to do the same.

Smallville...first 4 season was pretty good then they tried to do too much with it and spiral out of control..

I can pretty much agree with this. I would say AHS season two got derailed but I'm hoping Coven sets the ship straight again.
