Default thoughts

is a wap site planned in the future?

blu-ray movie review forum. have one of the blu-ray.com staff start a dedicated thread for each movie, every memeber can make a review in said thread. or if there's some sort of ranking system you could add to the forum itself. i enjoy seeing other people's reactions on movies and it seems a lot of multiple threads get brought up on the same movie and clutter up the forums.

still hoping for more smilies soon

custom user text after so many posts. say..1k

i saw that you're trying to find a way to make insiders stand out against other members. it's tough to even tell who the moderators are sometimes. so i'm gonna suggest a user pic next to or under the user name. what i mean, just a simple "administrator" pic. moderator gets moderator, you get the idea. make it simple to figure out who the insiders and mod's are against all the other "regular" members.

something similiar to this, but more sleek obviously

i know i saw that this will stay a free forum. but i figured if you got people to donate money they could become a "special" member and get special benefits. bigger pm box, shorter wait between posts, stuff like that. but take the donation money and use it for contests for free movies or something.

ability to delete own threads

all i can think of off the top of my head..i'll edit as time goes

Thumbs up

I like your idea. I think anyone that is a mod or admin should be wearing a "badge" so we know who to contact if need be. Should be that way period.

All other sites I visit have those bars under their names.

Hey! Sorry for not replying immediately, but we are really busy developing the site.

1. Anyway, for each movie there are already an editor review:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie...51&show=review

And user reviews/comments:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie...&show=comments

We think it's better organized this way than to have the user reviews hidden somewhere in the forum.

2. More smilies are coming.
3. We disabled custom user titles because people were using unserious titles and it was also difficult to tell a moderator from a regular user. However, because of (4) we might reconsider this.
4. We plan to somehow distinguish moderators and insiders from regular members.
5. There seems to be a demand for this and while we will never charge for access to anything, we could add some sort of extra storage and similar for paying members. We'll see, but it's not something we will do for a long time.

Edit: btw, the PM storage space was doubled some time ago

i wasn't even expecting a response really, but i appreciate it.

and i wasn't aware of the user reviews already in place, i've had a lot of posts on here, and i never knew about it. should be something more out in the open.

i can understand the user title being abused, but if you just add a picture to the people who are insiders/mod's/admin's that wouldn't be a problem imo.

i'm most interested in a wap site tho, any chance of that happening soon?

Not soon I'm afraid :/ but it's a good idea for the future, for example it could be used to check out reviews here when you are in a store and thinking about making a purchase. We'll look it up when it's time
