The blooper reel and trailer for the film are in 1080p and have clearly been remastered from film elements. The Gary Graver interview and the Nite Owl Theater extras were shot on SD video and are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and upscaled to 1080i.

Note: The back cover incorrectly states the film's run time is 88 minutes.

I think the transfer here is pretty great. There is a nice grain structure, which fluctuates sometimes, and detail is generally excellent, except for a couple of outdoor shots in one scene where background characters look slightly out of focus. The sex scenes are well-lit and the new transfer renders naked flesh very appealingly. The DTS-HD MA 2.0 sound, is good, with clear dialogue, but the music sounded a little muffled and over the end credits, I thought I heard some tiny pops as the music played. I've never seen the film before, but it's difficult to imagine it ever looking better than it does here.

The extras are also fun, with a very short blooper reel transferred from film elements, which probably gives a brief look at how the feature would look without any cleanup. A trailer for the film has also been remastered and can be seen on the Makeflix product page as well as on the Blu-ray. Other extras, which I assume are ported from Retromedia's DVD and were shot on SD video, include Fred Olen Ray's Nite Owl Theater introduction to the film, as well as a blooper reel for Nite Owl theater. Fred is pretty amusing here, and his gorgeous wife Kim also appears with the DVD stuffed into her ample bosom. There is kind of a weird video effect here at times when someone on camera moves, it might be related to people smoking and the smoke distorting the image slightly. I'm not certain.

I had to turn it off before it finished, but the longest extra, "Gary Graver Remembers", is actually not about Angel Eyes, but more about working with Lon Chaney Jr. (and J. Carrol Naish) on Dracula vs. Frankenstein. I believe this interview has appeared on other releases. It's possible that Graver may mention Angel Eyes towards the end, but I doubt it. Still, it's nice to have something from the late director here.
