For regular Blu-ray's, yes.

4K discs are Region-Free.

If the first film gets a 4K steel release next, I'll have to consider trading in my Korean double feature digipack. Also, would 4K really make that much of a difference on such a low budget movie?

I do think a 4K scan of a 16mm film (if we're talking about the first ED) will definitely pull out as much info as possible, but I don't think it will be as big of a leap as a 4K scan of a 35mm film. Then again, I remember in the earlier days of blu-ray, people said "what's the point of scanning a 16mm film in HD?" How far we've come...

As for ED2, it does have potential to look like a nice upgrade. If Studio Canal's 4K restoration of Highlander is anything to go by (which you can watch the trailer in full 4K on YouTube), this should look quite nice.

On that note, we know there's a 4K restoration of the European cut of Army of Darkness hiding out there as well... can... can we just get the full trilogy in 4K?

I would probably preorder this if we knew whether or not the Blu-Ray is region free or not seeing how all of the bonus content is on that disc.
