Terminator 2D: NO FATE is an upcoming officially licensed 2D action side-scroller published by Reef Entertainment and developed by Bitmap Bureau, launching on PS5®, PS4®, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (via Steam® and the Epic Games Store) on September 5th, 2025.

Play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 through a variety of thrilling missions as they take on the T-1000 and try to put a stop to Skynet’s plans before the human race is annihilated. Lead the Resistance as John Connor in the future, fighting on the front lines as mankind’s only hope in the War Against the Machines. Bitmap Bureau has a good track record. They previously released Xeno Crisis and Final Vendetta, which were both very well-received.

Wish the graphics were a metric ton or 2 better but I'm too much of a fan not to play this especially with all the movie scenes in there.

I found a Wikipedia article about it. Some failed console. But I didn't see anything particularly damning about the man, beyond he being one of the spearheads of the failed venture. It sucks but sometimes people reach beyond their grasp.

From the article about the man himself:

Following the death of Keith Robinson in 2017, founder of Intellivision Productions, Tallarico purchased a stake in the company from the estate. In May 2018, Intellivision Entertainment was re-formed with him as president. In the winter of that year, he announced the intent for the company to release the Intellivision Amico with the target of October 2020. As of July 2022, it is reportedly still being worked on.

As of September 2022, the Amico has been delayed at least three times. The console has been viewed very negatively by critics, drawing criticism for its delays, fundraising tactics, and use of NFTs. The status of the console has been described as "grim" by TechRaptor and compared to a car crash by Kotaku.

In February 2022, Tallarico stepped down from his role as CEO of Intellivision, remaining on board as the company's president and largest shareholder. He was replaced by the company's former chief revenue officer Phil Adam. As of May 2024, the Amico has not been released.

So, yeah, he's better off sticking to making music I guess.

I kind of agree. I enjoy the film but it's a bit overrated. I have always thought the first film was much better, and the third deserves more love.

I can't say that The Terminator is better than Terminator 2: Judgement Day or vice versa. They are simply excellent examples of two different genres: B-grade horror (of the slasher vein) and action sci-fi. Similar to Alien versus Aliens.

I'd love to see more Terminator games based on some Dark Horse material. There's so much to mine and make games of varying style. Only thing I want out of T3 is a 4K with a fresh new remaster. Not too much to ask for.
