I want to finally see this in widescreen since my NTSC DVD is only the fullscreen edition and the UK DVD was widescreen but PAL.

Any confirmation that it has the English tracks and the widescreen version?

Based on the Amazon.de page it's got two English soundtracks (5.1 and 2.0), and is widescreen.

Only one piece of feedback so far but reads as though the picture's a bit soft.

I watched the DVD of this a few months ago, I'd imagine it's a step up from that, the PQ wasn't that great there.

Only €8 so might order this.

Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered it anyway for that price. Only about 11$ delivered, which is probably a better price than the DVD I had.

It's classic Swayze, on blu, at a decent price. I doubt we'll get a better version

Actually, it's in English Dolby Digital 2.0 und DTS-HD MA 2.0. The same goes for German audio.

Hmm.

It's difficult imagining that it won't at least be an upgrade on the current dvd version. That looks absolutely terrible, not far off VHS quality. Screw it, I don't mind a €8 gamble!

Ok, finished this a short while ago.

Bottom line - it's much better than the existing dvd.

Yes, it's not brilliant, and yes it's soft in places, but generally I was quite pleased with it. Largely because I watched the dvd a few months ago and there's no doubt that it's a step up from that. If you've seen caps then I'd say it fares better in motion. Pausing makes it look very soft. In motion that doesn't really come across, for the most part.

The other plus - it's region-free - tried and confirmed A and C compatibility.

For €8, I'm happy to have upgraded this from dvd. It's far from perfect but I can't see it looking much better tbh.
