Nice. It's far from the greatest movie in the world, but I'll be picking it up.

I'm curious to see what the music suite is, this is one of John Barry's most unforgettable scores. I'd imagine it's just the opening and closing credits, which would have no effects, with some images. Or perhaps it's sourced from the music and effects track. John Barry fans have been discussing this in depth online The original tapes of the score have famously been said for years to be lost.

Back from the depths...

Did this go out of print? Nobody seems to have it in stock at the moment.

Really? Damn, that's a shame. They always put out loads of interesting 'niche' stuff.

Hope someone can pick up the rights to this & give it a restoration & the full SE treatment one day, but I know I'm very much in the minority when it comes to loving this film.

I'm sure they will eventually. I have both the Network & Shout Factory Blu-rays, and the Shout edition is still in print.

I also grabbed the 2 "Making Of hardcover volumes of books about the movie not too long ago on Targets' B2G1 sale:

I haven't got around to reading them yet, as they both total over 1,000+ large pages, but there's a ton of info and rare pics in them.

Won't be happening any time soon, in the UK at least, with ITV's licensing deals being as unreasonable as they are. ITV's film archive is generally underfunded as well and they have little to no interest in getting anything restored, unless an outside party pays (as Network often had to do). That, and the film itself wouldn't be high on their priority list.
