As they are also releasing Monster Squad, which came out originally at same time as MBV, hopefully these will be direct ports. I watched Monster Squad last week and it still plays fine, MBV about 18 months ago and that was ok.Would double dip if they are ports as you never know though.

They'll be barebones as usual, I'm sure. Lucky for Shock that the exchange rate is so terrible lately, otherwise there'd be no point getting their product instead of the overseas equivalents.

Theatrical cut only....what a shame.

While the celebrated day of love and romance is far behind us, VHS darling MY BLOODY VALENTINE returns to 'home video' next month, complete in its original theatrical cut.

Set in the small mining town of Valentine Bluffs, a decades-old folk tale surrounding a deranged murderer become a terrifying reality for a group of young adults during their Valentine's Day celebration. 📼❤️⛏

I noticed that the ratings advice on this cover is actually for the remake, and not the original.

Surely there are people in quality control, right?

lol - pretty sure Shock is just one dude in a basement somewhere releasing DVD and Blu-ray titles as his 3rd or 4th job...

As far as MBV goes, wait for the Scream! Factory two disc release.

Yup. This local release almost seems pointless.

I'm honestly at a point where I wonder why Shock even bothers. They've clearly barely got the resources to re-release old TV shows with the extras intact, and can't afford any at all for their Blu-Ray titles. If they can't afford to get this re-classified to use the extended cut (because nobody in their right mind wants the butchered theatrical one), they might as well pack it in.

I think I've only got one Shock/Cinema Cult title and that's VANISHING POINT because it had all the special features. These days I avoid them like the plague as there's always a much better release to be had from overseas.

Yes, those were the days back when Cinema Cult were good. I have a number of their early releases and they all have extras.

Yeah, early on they were often porting Arrow releases, special features and all, so they were a great cheaper alternative - I've still got the Gates of Hell trilogy and The Burning from them.

Nowadays they always seem to have barebones releases that mention standard def audio on the back, so I'm always pretty reluctant to pick any of their stuff up. Still haven't grabbed The Serpent and the Rainbow.
