Dakota (1974)

Directed by Wim Verstappen, who also directed other movies put out by Cult Epics such as Blue Movie and Obsessions, this a slice of life movie about a man and his plane. And that is pretty much it. But like some other slice of life movies, it has some compelling nature to it that makes you want to keep watching. There are some interesting scenes, such as innovative tactics taken by the pilot to fly 30+ hours nonstop with a plane that can only fly for 8 hours without refueling - and some great scenery as well. Overall, not much happens, but it still has quite a bit of charm to it with its raw nature and authentic characters. It feels a bit like a planesplotiation movie.

Recommended for those that enjoy these types of films and airplane enthusiasts. Note my copy had a couple of untranslated lines of dialog on two different players at the 0:23:20 time index. Edit: apparently this is non-dutch dialogue and was said by the translator not to be important to the scene
