Good For Nothing Blues (Independent Release)

I asked in the general banter thread and wasn't able to get an answer on if this was okay to post so I'm just going to go ahead and give it a shot.

Last year I did a small, independently organized theatrical run of my feature film "Good For Nothing Blues" (shot for $12,000) in Perth. All up we had 6 screenings with over 800 attendees. Now I am releasing the film on blu-ray in an unofficial capacity through Smallvoice Films, a small local distributor who gives low budget independent movies in the Western Australian film community a chance to get distribution. Note that this film does not have an official rating so we are using the unofficial recommended ratings logos.




Good For Nothing Blues is the story of Calvin, a ne'er-do-well, lost in life and in search of purpose, and his group of dole-bludging friends who suddenly come into some money when they win the lottery. Having money for the first time ever seems like the answer to their prayers, but soon enough their investments go astray and they end up stuck in a web of drugs, debts, gangs and cops. Can Calvin escape the trap he's been clamped in his whole life, or is he really just good for nothing?

The blu-ray officially launches June 1st, but can be pre-ordered. It is a home-made job but done with care by someone who cares about image and sound quality (our sound mix is excellent). So if you are interested in this film, you will be getting a quality product.
