Check existing firmware versions in Samsung players - Blu-ray Forum

Does any know how to check the firmware version of a Samsung player? I know you can do it with the Panasonic and Sony players.

Without a disc in, hold down the info button on the remote for ~5 seconds and you should see a display with the current firmware version.

By your avatar I am guessing you own a greyhound we also have a retired racer.

Thats actually a Whippet, me and the wife are looking into getting a rescue greyhound to keep that one busy hah

Thanks alot, this will help alot at work!

I get tons of Samsung Blu-Ray players in for service, and all they need is firmware update 9 out of 10, and putting in the disc to find out kills a good 10 minutes.
