Quote:
Planet Earth III explores the greatest habitats on our planet and the extraordinary animals that live in them.

Filled with wonder and insight, Planet Earth III celebrates places and animals beyond our imagination. From the depths of the ocean to the most remote jungle, discover the planet’s last great wild places and the astonishing strategies animals have evolved to survive. Each episode focuses on a distinct and dazzling habitat, including grasslands and deserts, forests, freshwater habitats, and coasts.

This contemporary chapter of Planet Earth also reveals the new challenges that wildlife faces in our modern and crowded world.

Narrated by Sir David Attenborough

All well and good, but where's my 4K of Wild Isles?!? It doesn't even have a BD, it's really odd.

Does anyone know if there's any hope of getting a higher quality release of the first Planet Earth? I recently watched these and there is a noticeable quality jump between each: Planet Earth -> Life -> Planet Earth II.

I think the first one hasn't been re-released in a while so I'm suspecting there just aren't better sources available? Although to my eye it looked like there were encoding issues with the discs as well (I have the Planet Earth + Life box set).

Would gladly buy Planet Earth I + II + III together in 4K.

It’s a shame but not all of the Attenborough bbc documentaries get 4k blu ray releases , The Mating Game and Dynasties II were both available on iPlayer in 4k but have only had standard blu ray releases.

I think this is the lot so far

Got Planet Earth III on pre order and looking forward to it!

**Totally free but UK, ordinary members only**

At the end of Planet Earth 3 there is mention of an OU/ Open university information pack about Planet earth 3

I have an unopened spare one as I was sent two in error.
Let me have a p-m with your name and UK street address, and it is yours.
Just so that I know, in this thread say that I have a Private message from you

Isn't one of Attenborough's series on UHD BUT ONLY 1 episode of it in in said format UHD?

Even so I wouldn't count it as one of his considering he has NOTHING to do with it.

Looks intentional but my 4K set arrived today without plastic wrapping. Great initiative!

Mine arrived today too. No plastic shrink wrap, at least the previous one or two Attenborough 4ks also had that (no plastic wrap). Whilst recognising that reducing plastic use is good, I was a bit suspicious that it might lead to damage in transit … but at least in my case they arrived in good condition.
