Default Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Trailer drops tomorrow at 4pm UK time. Will add later but given Watch_Dogs Legion and other Ubisoft IP have been confirmed for PS5, i'd assume this will be releasing for PS5 too.

Looking forward to this one; i assume it's going to feature raiding parties and mass combat similar to Odyssey. Got a feeling the ship combat will be a step back, but that's just the time period it's set in.

So how long until Sony let us know about their cross gen plans?

At Smart Delivery “technology”, just call it what it is

More on #AssassinsCreedValhalla

-Hunting, fishing, dice, drinking games
-Traditional Norse "Flyting" competitions (Viking rap battles)
-Dual wield almost any weapon
-Extra effort on enemy variety
-Your settlement is like your Normandy (Mass Effect); choices affect your village

Looks cool but I've got to see the leveling system 1st. I loved the one in Origins but hated the one in Odyssey. I just never felt like I was leveling up in Odyssey because everything around me leveled up as well.

I preferred Odyssey over Origins in regards to the leveling system. But I would say that system in this one would be an improvement over the last two games, at least we hope.

It will be a cross gen title just like Black Flag was.

But the problem right now is there's no information on whether Sony is going to do what Xbox is doing and letting publishers offer a free next gen copy. Ubisoft already confirmed they've got "Smart delivery" for this title which is free upgrade to Series X.

Sony really need to get their act together. This gen they chewed MS out and really got back to form for consumers and they're atm being beat on the media front for reveals and being shown as a reactionary company atm and they haven't announced half as much as Series X stuff now.

What problem? The game isn't due out until later this year, if you want to play the game on the PS5 then purchase that version, it's not that difficult of a choice to make. I understand that folks want reassurances that if they purchase a PS4 title close to PS5's launch that they can get a FREE upgrade but honestly Sony doesn't owe us that option. It's on the developer for that call. When Black Flag was announced as a cross gen title I had zero issues about buying the PS4 version as that was were I was headed to next. I didn't expect Sony or Ubisoft to give me a free upgrade copy if I had purchased the PS3 version either. If you prefer the way Microsoft is doing business then go with them.

People need to relax.. The only reason they can't say anything about it right now is because Sony wants to announce it at their event. Rest assured, Sony will match MS with this feature. I just hope to God they don't call it Smart Delivery!

Oh I am plenty relaxed brother. I have no issues waiting on the PS5 & the games associated with it. I'm looking forward to playing Valhalla on the PS5 & that will be the edition I pre-order. No upgrade necessary for this cool cat.

I appreciate for you it's not a factor and yeah, no company "owes" you anything but when there's a 2 horse race and Sony who championed consumer friendly practices at the start of this gen and threw pie on the face of MS now are being outplayed potentially is a consumer concern.

MS have already confirmed "smart delivery" for all 1st party titles and CD Projekt Red and now Ubisoft are clearly on board. It seems others are due to follow. So it would be arrogant imo of Sony to expect consumers to pay twice for products when their direct competition isn't.

I don't know if that's something that others are bothered by but it does bother me when say a game releases and one of them expects a double dip when the others doing it free. It's ludicrous and yeah, i guess i could go with MS but i have a lot more invested into the PlayStation ecosystem with years of PS+ all the way from PS3 and PS4 as well as a host of online friends built up.

I'm just asking for a bit of parity in competition here and hopefully Steelmaker and others are right. Based on certain tweets it's implied Sony have got their own version to announce soon.

I'm in the boat of assuming Sony will do the same thing, just to match Microsoft. Can you imagine the reaction if they said they didn't want to do that, and to just either A. wait to buy the PS5 to get the PS5 version, or B. Settle for the PS4 version like the user above mentioned, they don't owe you that?

A or B works out more expensive and not as consumer friendly. Let's hope they respond and follow suit to the gauntlet MS put down so far.

That's what I mean, it's extremely doubtful Sony does that..especially after Microsoft announced it
